David Ferrer was born on April 2, 1982 in Javia, Spain. His father was an accountant, and mother was the school teacher. David started early in his several years to follow in his Brother Javier's footsteps. He shifted to Gandia at the age of 13, and then two years later gone to live in Barcelona to be present at the Catalan Tennis Federation. Right after spending nine months there he went back to Java. In 2000 David became a professional Tennis Player, and is now in his 12th year on the ATP tour where he is presently ranked #5 on the ATP Tour.
